Oboe (or flute) and Sound File
This piece was my big solo oboe feature on my first composition album, "Forward Reflections." It's a tone poem of sorts depicting a musical journey into the heart of the Orion Nebula, passing through wisps of colorful gas until reaching and passing by the Trapezium constellation at the heart of this stellar nursery. Even though solo part is originally for oboe, I also think it would work very well as a flute piece! Either way, I do recommend making use of a sound system that will give the solo player a reverb effect that borders on an echo. If the reverb depth and delay is controllable, even better!
